Gold Charm Bracelets
The Sanjeev Guide to Building a Charm Bracelet
A gold charm bracelet is the only piece of jewellery we sell that is never really finished. It is built rather than bought, gathered across birthdays and births and anniversaries until the bracelet itself becomes a record of a life. That is why customers come back to us for years over a single piece. Ours are worked in 22ct gold at our Southall bench, from single charm designs and double hearts through to multi station bracelets with deliberate room to grow. The charms follow the same traditions as the wider collection, so floral design gold bangles and floral charms share the same chased detailing, and meenakari gold bangles and enamelled charms carry the same fused colour. One piece of advice worth having at the start. Choose a bracelet with a gauge strong enough for the number of charms you eventually imagine, because adding weight steadily to a fine chain will tell over a decade. We can add charms to any bracelet bought from us, and our goldsmiths make bespoke charms to order. A first initial, a birth month, a small gold shape that means nothing to anyone but you. Those are the ones we most enjoy making.
