A gold pendant is the most personal thing in this collection. It sits against the skin, usually out of sight, and it is very often chosen for somebody else at a moment that matters. We make ours in 22ct gold at our Southall bench, and we treat these commissions with the care they are owed. The devotional pieces run deep. Ganesha in floral, halo and enamelled forms. Lakshmi with the sacred trident. Balaji, Radha Krishna, Om and Rudraksha. Sikh families come to us for Khanda and Guru Nanak designs in single and two tone finishes. Alongside them sit contemporary motifs that carry their own quiet meaning: hearts, blooms, the compass, the evil eye. Many are set with cubic zirconia or lifted with coloured enamel to bring the detail forward. A pendant and its chain should be chosen as a pair rather than separately, because a heavy piece on too fine a gauge will wear at the bail and eventually fail. Tell us the pendant and we will recommend the chain. If the design you want does not exist, our goldsmiths will make it. That is often how the most treasured pieces begin.
